After Ahmed Shara's forces launched an attack on the village of Sweida in Syria, they began killing unarmed civilians in the area.

One incident that drew international attention was a video showing an elderly Druze man with a white beard being humiliated and forcibly shaved by Ahmed Shara's gunmen. The man was later identified as Sheikh Marhaj Shahin, a respected elder of the village.

The video, widely shared on social media, depicted the act of humiliation in graphic detail.

Sheikh Marhaj Shahin was not the only victim — many other Druze men were reportedly subjected to similar insults and then killed.
