Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said today that Israel’s push into Gaza City is the “speediest” way to bring the war with Hamas to an end. Speaking at a press conference, he explained that the operation targets Hamas’s last strongholds, while creating safe areas for civilians and increasing humanitarian aid coordination with the United States. Netanyahu stressed that defeating and disarming Hamas is vital for Israel’s security and for restoring peace to the region.
