The UN Security Council voted to extend the UNIFIL peacekeeping mission in south Lebanon one final time, through December 31, 2026. Israel welcomed the vote’s focus on restoring Lebanese state control in the south and insists Hezbollah must be disarmed to prevent terror attacks.
